Plan to Stay in Business

You may think that business preparedness is for disasters only. Imagine that you have an emergency such as a power outage lasting a few hours, a fire across the street, a computer system crash, an explosion in the area… You don’t want to think about it, right? Well, think again!

75% of businesses without continuity plans fail within three years (Source: Ready.gov). In addition, up to 40% of businesses affected by a natural or human-caused disaster never reopen (Source: Insurance Information Institute).

If you have a B2B operation or service larger corporations, beware that many are asking their suppliers about preparedness. They want to be sure that their supply chain is not interrupted. Failure to implement a preparedness program risks losing a contract to competitors who can demonstrate they have a plan.

According to the Small Business Administration small businesses:

  • Represent 99.7% of all employer firms
  • Employ about half of all private sector employees
  • Have generated 65% of net new jobs over the past 17 years
  • Made up 97.5% of all identified exporters.

With all that is at stake it only make sense to be Ready for Anything!
